House Wine Tree

Vacation house in Bol on Brac Island

The House Wine tree is located on the private property, away from it all, surrounded with vineyards and olive groves in the vicinity of the famous Bol. The location is superb, at the footsteps of all the action of old town and nr. 1 Zlatni Rat beach, but still, a peaceful heaven to get back to, after enjoying the sun and sights at the beach.

- Zlatni rat beach, the seductive pebbly beach that ‘leaks’ into the Adriatic and draws swimmers and windsurfers in the summer months, is just 350 m away from the house.

- The first grocery store is 1 km away and the nearest coffee bar 350 m.

- The center of Bol is 1,5 km away and sport center with tennis court just 500 m.

Privacy, peacefulness and serenity are guaranteed.

Fresh orange juice and the best morning coffee

We personally adored the Varadero cocktail bar as a morning cappuccino & croissant place in the town centre. On the way from center Bol to Zlatni rat Beach there is another lounge and cocktail bar Bolero.

Absolute highlight of the day at the Zlatni Rat beach are definitely beach stands, offering several freshly cut fruits (water melon as the most popular one!), several healthy ice shakes and even pancakes with chocolate.

Auro lounge and cocktail bar offers not only very cozy seating on a fancy loungers with white mattresses and fat boys, but also turns its scene into an afternoon Beach Party place with wonderful chill-out music from DJ’s.

Get out on the water!

You can windsurf, dive or try stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) in many of the Croatian Islands – but Bol has special powers along this stretch of the Dalmatian Coast. The Maestral Winds that blow along the southern part of Brac Island make perfect conditions for those looking for wind and surf sports.

Both, experienced windsurfers and those looking to start, should check out the team at Zoo-Station or at Big Blue Sports for equipment hire and windsurfing classes in Bol. For kayaking and SUP hire also reach out to Big Blue Sports. Their Staff is super friendly, prices are affordable, and they often run specials with good discounts.

Windsurfing is just one of the many fun things to do in Bol.

The second thing you can try in such scenic surroundings is getting on two wheels – read here why.

If you want to arrange bike hire for your family holidays in Bol – there are many places in Bol to do that, ask us about that and we will gladly provide you with more information!

Besides being active on the water, Bol extended its sport offer with different other sports like tennis (numerous courts), scuba diving and beach volley.

Apart from numerous sport activities Bol also features a number of natural beauties where you can relax and be charmed.

Dip your toes into the crystal clear waters of Zlatni rat beach with fantastic shaded forest area. Far and away the most unique beach in Croatia, where the beach’s ever-changing shape is formed by wind conditions and sea currents. A real spectacle!

Visit small village Murvica (4 km from house Wine Tree). With vineyards and beautiful beaches with crystal clear sea this is a true idyll of Bol. It is known for its desert monuments' remains, especially for Zmajeva spilja (Dragon's cave), a miniature church within the cave with caved reliefs and religious characters.

A must see while visiting Bol is Vidova gora – highest peak of Adriatic Islands, with outstanding panoramic views of the town of Bol, Zlatni Rat beach and out to the fantastic blue sea and Hvar Island.
If you are brave enough you can ride the bike up and down or just hike (more info here). Or you can choose to save yourself the effort and drive up from the other side of the Island Bol :)
Enjoy a cold drink outside the bar while taking in the epic views in the late afternoon, before the hordes of other visitors arrive for sunset and you will be in for a treat.

Stroll along Bol promenade, which takes you along the seashore from the town of Bol all the way to Zlatni rat Beach (20 minutes).

The route is lined with Brac stone and shaded with large overhanging pine trees. I’d suggest wandering along with ice-cream in hand on your first day to pick out your favourite place to take a dip – in case you will ever want to leave the private shelter of your pool terrace in front of your summer home :)

Brac Island sits on the Dalmatian Coast and is easily reached by ferry from Split (driving to Supetar) and Makarska (driving to Sumartin) or catamaran from Split which stops in Bol town or Milna town.

More details about how to get there read in our FAQ (number 3).
