Stone House Orebic

This charming renovated stone house is the ideal option for 4-headed family or couples who are looking for privacy.  House itself is located 800 m above Orebic town on Peljesac peninsula. To reach it, you need to drive a bit uphill and last 200 m is gravel road (not very suitable for low cars or sport cars). In the nearest vicinity you will find no other houses and the road also ends at this charming stone house. It is completely surrounded by olive trees and it has views over the high slopes behind you. The story of this house begins around 100 years ago when the ancestors of the owner, Mr. Ivo, built here a small uni-space house to provide them shelter and keep their harvest of olives safe. In 2017 the owner decided to rebuild and upgrade the house. After one year of hard work and numerous hours put into selection of equipment, here is the result – pure harmony of local stone, wood and modern stylish design with all the necessities that guests require nowadays – satellite TV with a vast number of different channels, Wi-Fi, etc. House is a perfect for a family with 2 children or couples who are in search of privacy.

The best thing you notice when you reach the house is a big terrace with large BBQ and summer kitchen. There is no better way to finish the day than to put on BBQ some fresh caught fish with local herbs, home-grown vegetables from the garden behind the house and a bottle local wine (Plavac, Dingac, Postup, Posip) on the table. After a fantastic dinner you can enjoy the rest of the night on the deckchair while listening the sounds of nature and observing the stars.

When you enter into the house through wooden doors you will instantly notice the owner’s great sense for interior design and how well he implemented the traditional materials like stone and wood with the modern equipment and comfort which guests require for their stay.

On the ground floor there is a living area with dining table, kitchen and couch. Kitchen is fully equipped with large fridge with freezer, oven, dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine and stovetop with 4 cooking plates. All the dishes and other cooking utensils are from very quality material and design. Couch is made from top-end quality materials and will provide you a relaxation after a long day on the beach. Next to the living area there is a big bathroom with bath.

The stairs from a well-designed marine rope fence lead on the upper gallery. There you will find a cosy double bed and 2 separate single beds – all equipped with very quality mattresses. All beds are located in one space.

House, fences, surrounding areas, pathways and everything is built from the local stone. Behind the house there is a garden with vegetables and herbs which is here for the guests to pick-up. The owner, Mr. Ivo wants you not only to relax and enjoy the vacation, but also to eat local and home-grown vegetables which are a great addition to the everyday meals. So instead of going into the town on the market to buy tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchinis, parsley, eggplants, peppers and other sessional vegetables, just go on the garden and pick it up yourself! :) You can also purchase olive oil which is made from the olives growing on the trees on your garden!
